You know, I like to use the white crayon for blending. It’s always my first crayon to run out. ;)
Ahaha, oh god it’s too early to be on Tumblr.

Last year, my partner, Jeff Dougherty, and I filmed “You Are Loved”, a documentary that overviewed Montana Pride and the LGBT community in Bozeman, MT last year. What started as our first filmmaking foray outside of academia, turned into more than just that.

“You Are Loved” impacted the Montana community in a way that neither of us anticipated. There has been such an overwhelming positive response, in which people claim that it was a “welcome affirmation for Pride participants and Montana’s LGBTQI (Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender-Questioning-Intersex) community.

Montana Pride exists, and there is a tangible form to prove it.

We have been contracted once again to film Montana Pride. Our documentary, tentatively titled “Outside The Lines” explores what it means to be an LGBTQI in Montana, but more importantly, explores why Pride is more than a weekend celebration of diversity. Using Montana Pride as our anchor, we plan on exploring how attitudes towards the LGBTQI community has changed in Montana, how Pride brings people together for a weekend of celebration, and how that celebrations needs to carry on through everyday life.

While we have received partial funding, it’s still not quite enough to make the documentary exceptional. We will need equipment, an ability to pay crew members, and the means to send the documentary to festivals across the country.

We are raising funds through IndieGoGo, a website that allows funding for independent projects. By donating to the campaign, you are not only supporting our endeavors into the film world, but you are supporting the Montanan LGBTQI community at large. We want to show that change is happening in even the more rural parts of the United States, and your contributions whether by donation or sharing the link, ensures that happens. We need you! Please spread the word and help this documentary get made!

Reblog, contribute, rinse and repeat!  We cannot do this without you!
